Collaboration

NN Contemporary Art invited Eugene and Steve to use their project space. The proposed idea was to use the project space for a short period. The project was for 1 day from 11 am to 5 pm with a 1-hour private view. By examining both what it means to do and the process of doing, we wanted to highlight how an action comes to acquire new meaning through their transformation. The project was experimental on multiple levels. Steve and I have never collaborated before. We decided to travel from London to Northampton on the same day of the project with no materials. Our materials came from two local shops. What we wanted to do is embrace the moment and to find ways to create with limited resources. We wanted to think about what can happen during this period and in this space.
